Humble Note from Denise

In 2006, I moved to Atlanta from Philadelphia to dig the forever hip ATL music scene. Atlanta has proven to be a pretty tough town for a little ol’ jazz singer like me.  But as tough as Atlanta is, I am fortified and upheld. This makes me just as tough as the ATL.

This year, “paying some real dues” has culminated in my decision to record my debut CD, “Progressive Groove”. The CD, mostly my own original traditional jazz plus some very pleasant “surprises”, is my testimony that it's never too late to follow one’s dreams.

I have had the honor & privilege to play some fabulous rooms, with some amazing musicians here as well as grace the stage with some astounding vocalists. It has been a truly astonishing and awe-inspiring experience.

Forever and day, I have wanted to be an entertainer whether being a snowflake at age 4 or singing at the Churchill Grounds at age (harmnbkdo) being on stage using my Creator given talents has been analogous to being closer to God.
